Sully

In partnership with the Broncos we are proud to support the John Sullivan Trophy; named after our former player John Sullivan who took his own life in 2014; in aid of organisations concerned with young men’s mental health.

2019’s Super League season again saw the Broncos retain the trophy, with a 32-12 victory over League Leaders St Helens at Trailfinders on Sunday June 21th. Support for the event from Sully’s former Academy team-mate Louis McCarthy-Scarsbrook ensured a remarkable £560 was raised for CALM – the Campaign Against Living Miserably.

In 2018 the Sully was retained by the Broncos in emphatic style, with a 68-0 victory over Rochdale Hornets at Trailfinders on Sunday June 17th. Over £160 was raised on the day for CALM – the Campaign Against Living Miserably.

The inaugural Trophy was won by the Broncos, who defeated Dewsbury Rams by 52 points to 8 at Trailfinders on Sunday June 11th.

The 2017 game was held in conjunction with the LBSA “Evening With Stevo” event, and on the day just under £600 was raised by  members in support of CALM – the Campaign Against Living Miserably.
